Cholesterol is an essential additive for shrimp feed. The best way to support growth. Cholesterol is a white, almost odorless, crystalline powder, which is made by the extraction and refining process from wool grease. Cholesterol is soluble in most common organic solvents and vegetable oils; insoluble in water. As an antioxidant 100 I.E./kg alpha-tocopherol is added.
- Cholesterol (GC): ≥ 91%
- Total sterol (GC): ≥ 97%
- A-tocopherol: ≥ 50ppm (anti-oxidant)
MODE OF USE:
- Larval feed: 1%
- Shrimp feed: 0.3-0.5% depending on growth stage
- Cholesterol should be added before extrusion, together with other fatty compounds
- Retest after 3 years, if stored at ambient temperatures in original undamaged packing
